Let's trek in Osmeña Peak!

Hi, folks!  It's been a while since I posted. I had no motivation the past days so I intentionally didn't write.

Anyway, I'm here now. Kekeke.

Trekking to Osmeña Peak was the last itinerary of my tour group. The trail was muddy so it's somewhat scary because it's slippery especially when going down. Praise God I was able to make it alive going up and down!

Day 2 - January 21, 2015

Osmeña Peak, Dalaguete

I wasn't able to ask why it's called Osmeña. Maybe it was named after the first and only Cebuano Philippine president, Sergio Osmeña. It's considered as the highest point in Cebu. There are actually many peak points in Cebu. What I saw at the top was a crooked version of the infamous Chocolate Hills in Bohol. The hills in Bohol are fatter, well-rounded, and shorter though.

Who wouldn't praise God after seeing such amazing sights? It's glorious, magnificent, and unexplainable! :) :) :)

To God be the glory, honor, and praise! :D :D :D

So this is the end of my two days tour. Till my next journey, folks!

Hello, Oslob!

Hi! Hi!

I missed posting last week because I was somewhat busy with a training I attended for work. Nevertheless, I'm back!

Since I'm done posting my activities in the first day of my tour, I'm now going to post what I did on the second day.

Day 2 - January 21, 2015

Oslob, Cebu

Whale Shark Watching

The first thing our tour group did was go to Oslob. I've been here already once and it was my second time already. Though I've already seen the whale sharks, I still found them wonderfully majestic. Sadly, I couldn't get a decent picture while on the water. Here are the attempts I made.

Sumilon Island

I heard good things about this island from my Japanese students so I desired to come here and it was finally fulfilled! Thank you, LORD!

I truly enjoyed the serenity in this crowd-less place. There aren't many people here at all. Someday, I'd want to try staying at the resort above.

A panoramic view of the island...

Tumalog Falls

My breath was taken away when I saw its grandeur. Honestly, I find this falls more breathtaking than Kawasan Falls. They are both beautiful falls, but Tumalog just impresses me more artistically. God is truly ingenious!

The top view of the falls....

It's the end of my Oslob tour, folks!

The next post would be my last for my two-day South Cebu tour. Please look forward to it!

See you again! :)

Let's explore Kawasan Falls!

Hello, everyone! :D

I'm back to chronicling my tour during my birthday. I wasn't able to write yesterday because I had something to do.

Nonetheless, here is the second half of the tour on the first day.

Day 1 -  January 20, 2015

Kawasan Falls, Badian

Meet my companions: Czar and Dessa. They are from Pangasinan, home of the infamous Hundred Islands. Since most of the people in our tour group joined the canyoneering, the three of us were left to explore Kawasan Falls leisurely. I am so thankful for their presence. I didn't get lonely on my birthday! Praise God!

The start of a 30 minute walk....

The first glimpse of the 'river' from the falls... (Or, maybe, this is a stream? It's too shallow and calm to be a river I think.)

Isn't it a nice place to walk through?

The first bridge I passed.

Now, the second bridge...

It's so amusing to find a cute waiting shed while walking. I didn't have the chance to sit down on it though.

Trivia: This bridge was built 30-40 years ago. It isn't Hispanic despite it's appearance. I seriously got fooled by it! (Hehehe)

The Municipality of Badian relies on this man-made power plant for electricity. The main one's on a higher level way up ahead.

This is the last bridge.

At last! Kawasan Falls.... ♥♥♥

I heard this is very deep so I didn't swim here.

Folks, this isn't the same falls in the pictures above. This is still Kawasan, but it's the second level. It's at the top of the main falls which is what everyone see first. You can come here after a 15 minute walk.

Since Kawasan 2 isn't as deep and crowded, I decided to go for a swim here.

The raft, which is big, costs 300PHP and it can carry several people. In my case, we were only 3.

This is the 1st level of the falls. It's small and very rocky. Some people do their laundry here.

I super enjoyed going around the three levels of Kawasan Falls. It's my first time ever seeing a falls, more so swimming in one. It was also challenging in the sense that the surroundings were wet and rocky which made my slippers unstable. I had to walk really slow to ensure that I won't slip. By the grace of God, I survived going up and down the falls.

What a wonderful, majestic creation of God! Nature, indeed, shows some of the glory of Jehovah God. To God be the glory, honor, and praise!

See you next time! :D

P.S. Happy 23rd birthday to me! ☻♥☻
