Let's snorkel in Moalboal!

Hi! Hello! Welcome to my first blog about my travels! :D

As I turned 23 this year, I decided to try traveling on my own to different places with beautiful natural wonders and historical spots so I could take many pictures. Hence, I chose to explore some famous tourist destinations in my home island first before going to other places.

I'm not sure how to go about this, but I'll try. There's always room for improvement in writing, right?

So, here I go.

Day 1 -  January 20, 2015

The first stop of the tour was our resort so we could leave our things behind for our snorkeling activity.

Panagsama Beach, Moalboal

This is the road leading to the resort and the beach front.

This is my room. It's actually too big for a solo traveler like me. Everything in the room is OK. I have no complaints except for my noisy aircondition unit. They have to repair it so it won't be too noisy especially at night when others in the resort are also in dreamland.

In the shore of one of the most famous diving spots in Cebu...

We are about to depart for our first snorkeling spot: Pescador Island.
By the way, if you're going to snorkel there, be sure to wear a rash guard because I heard there are jellyfishes in the area that sting. I didn't know about it so I just wore shorts. Praise God there weren't any stinging jellyfishes that time! :)
[Did you know there are also jellyfishes that don't sting? You can actually touch those kinds.]

These are all the pictures I was able to take, folks!

We also snorkeled in Turtle Land and Sardine Land, but I had no pictures. Too bad, huh? Sadly, I have no underwater camera yet so I couldn't capture the beauty under the sea. I'm hoping that next time I'll go snorkeling (or diving), I can take pictures of the wonderful things I'll see.

When we went to Turtle Land, I learned from the tour guide that one had to swim a considerable distance before seeing a turtle. I did just that with others in my group. We saw a total of four turtles; 2 big ones, a medium sized, and a small one. It was exciting to swim around and search for turtles. They were pretty much evasive. Nonetheless, we saw some! Yehey!

In Sardine Land, it was also very fun seeing sardines making a wall beneath the water while swimming. They were so synchronized. Even when someone disturbed them, they still managed to form a barricade after a few moments. It's exactly just like what you see on TV. If you're familiar of the movie Finding Nemo, those sardines were just like the ones in real life. What ingenuity of the Creator God!

I'm stopping here for now, folks! See you in my next post! :)

P.S. I availed of the South Cebu Project SurSuroy of Happy Juanderer Travel, Inc. You can check out their FB page for more info.
